The Masai Mara and Amboseli are Kenya's two most famous safari destinations, and they offer quite different experiences.
Masai Mara
Famous for big cats and, in season, the Great Migration. Its open plains and large concentrations of predators make it the classic first safari.
Amboseli
Known for large elephant herds set against Mount Kilimanjaro. It's smaller, easier to reach from Nairobi and ideal for photographers.
